ADD ROCKS: Depending on the size of the pot, add 2-3 inches of rock to improve drainage

ADD DIRT: Depending on the size of your pot, add 2 or more inches of high quality potting soil.

PREPARE FOR PLANTING: Take the plants out of their plastic container and place the containers on top of the 2# of soil. We'll remove them later, but stay with me!

ADD MORE DIRT: Fill the pot as full as you can around the cups with high quality potting soil. Pack the soil as tightly as you can.

REMOVE THE CUPS: Be careful to keep the hole you've created as solid as possible.

FERTILIZER: Add about 1 teaspoon of fertilizer into each hole.

PLANT: Take each of the plants and loosen up the roots, even if you have to break some off to get them loose. Place one in each of the holes with fertilizer. Fill in with as much potting soil as possible and tamp it down. Water it a lot.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT: Ready for some delicious summer dishes. Not to worry - I will share recipes soon!

DISPLAY: Put that plant in the space you want. Herbs need a lot of light, and at the beginning will need a lot of water. Depending on where you live, you may have to water more than others. Just don't overdo. If the soil is still damp it can wait.
